Step 1: You
What you need to know
Permits
Business and trade applicants can request an extended parking permit to park in the central city. If an application is for a period of more than five working days, then these will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
You can also request a parking hood as part of your permit application if you wish.
Parking hoods
You can use these with vehicles, waste bins (and/or other elements as specified) when they are placed in a parking space. The hoods are displayed while work is in progress. (Work in progress is defined as construction or premises maintenance work, or relocation). A fee for the parking hood is charged.
Conditions and fees
- Please follow the conditions of your permit and make sure its use, or your activities, do not cause public safety issues.
- You must display the blue copy of the permit for a reserved parking space at all times, otherwise you risk getting fined.
- If your hired parking hood is stolen, then you’ll have to pay for its replacement.
