What you need to know

Until you receive email approval from appropriate staff, this request is provisional and cannot be treated as confirmed.

A key or park bond fee is required as part of this request. We will confirm this cost with you once we know what park you would like to access.

Health and safety if access is granted

The requestor is responsible for all health and safety requirements to be met.

Be aware of all hazards and risks in parks and reserves, including but not limited to:

  • Mitigate dust issues e.g. cover load or dampen ground
  • Observe the Hamilton City Council Bylaw for noise level limits
  • Overhead power and underground services such as sewage, telephone, power, water, drains and so on
  • Low visibility on some corners
  • Uneven surfaces
  • Waterways and ditches
  • Any other individuals on site

The vehicle speed limit in our parks and reserves is 20km/h.

Members of the public can enter reserves at any time; please ensure your site is secure and public access routes are kept clear.

Do not reverse vehicles on parks or reserves unless you have a visual support person outside the vehicle watching for public and hazards.

Please contact the authorised approver to confirm when accessing the park. Make sure you enter the park only if the ground is firm. Any turf damage must be reported to the authorised approver. You must cease work if conditions are unsuitable.

Please supply a site map of where this access will be

Will there be machinery or equipment onsite?

Please supply photos of machinery to be used on park site

Step 3: COUNCIL

What happens next

Your request will be passed on to our Parks team to evaluate. Once your request is submitted, we'll aim to get back to you within two working days with information including the fee or park bond amount.
