Candidate Statement
I am Louise Harvey from Whau Valley, now living in Hamilton Kirikiriroa of the Mighty Waikato region. As a Councillor and Deputy Leader of the Kiwi Family Whanau Party, a component party of the umbrella Constitution Party, I will support mayoral candidate Roma Warren super grow our regional economy and personal wealth.
Working together, we'll strengthen New Zealand Kiwi Whanau Families in Hamilton and throughout the Waikato by: Upholding New Zealand's zero capital tax laws; Establishing the Families Office and by giving families and companies equal tax rights; Seeking firstly to mainstream Pre-School Education and Kohanga Reo Institutions, and secondly to make childcare services free for children between the ages of 2 and 5 for tertiary and working parents, and public services and business professionals; Advocating for a 'four day work - five day pay' week' to award performance excellence and to reduce vehicle usage.

1. What would be your top three priorities for Council the next three years?
My 3 priorities for Council the next 3 years would be to make decisions based on practicality, needs and interests.
2. What is your aspiration for Hamilton Kirikiriroa?
I aspire Hamilton to be strategic in decision making.
3. How do you think Council could best use opportunities to meet the key challenges we are facing?
Council would be best to scrutinise budgets closely while facing challenging financial circumstances and manage assets well to reduce dependency on rate increases.
4. If there was one thing you could change about Hamilton Kirikiriroa immediately, what would it be?
One thing to change about Hamilton immediately would be a focus on value for money.
5. What qualities would you bring to Council that will help our city thrive?
My qualities I have to offer include accountability, transparency, time management, being realistic, able to motivate and the ability to work effectively in a team.
