Hamilton is growing, and fast! 

 

I’m standing for Council – Hamilton East, because this growth must be shaped by smart investment, strong governance, bold leadership grounded in experience, driven by purpose, focused on people. Mother. Businesswoman. Governance leader. I serve across sectors that shape lives: housing to education, health to economic development, international trade and investment 

 

Experienced in transformational change to unlock our city’s economic potential in a way that benefits all communities, from local businesses to everyday families. 

 

As Chairperson for several organisations including WEL Energy Trust and Waikato Pacific Business Network, I lead with a focus on real outcomes and long-term impact. 

 

I’ve had the privilege of meeting and listening to many people and organisations navigating complex challenges; their stories fuel my commitment to serve. 

 

Hamilton City needs fresh thinking, strong financial oversight, a future-focused approach-for such a time as this.

1. What would be your top three priorities for Council the next three years? 

 

1.Cut wasteful spending, balance the books ensuring transparency to the public  

2. Deliver smart investment for affordable infrastructure that is future focused prioritising city growth in correctly planned areas.  

3.Turn our city around to thrive, strengthening safer connected communities 

 

2. What is your aspiration for Hamilton Kirikiriroa? 

 

For my sons to feel safe, connected and fulfil their potential with access to unlimited opportunities growing up in Hamilton.

 

3. How do you think Council could best use opportunities to meet the key challenges we are facing? 

 

Rebuild Trust, acknowledge challenges and presenting opportunities to better serve the public  

 

Demonstrate collaborative leadership and decision making to achieve measurable outcomes and valuable impact immediately. 

 

4.If there was one thing you could change about Hamilton Kirikiriroa immediately, what would it be? 

 

To secure a regional deal with Government to strengthen Hamilton’s financial position so our city is truly viable and future-ready for the growth. 

 

5. What qualities would you bring to Council that will help our city thrive? 

 

Purpose, likeability and credibility  

 

Smart governance, bold leadership, future-focussed, all about the people!  

 

Significant experience across housing, education, health, economic development, international trade and investment.  

 

Experienced in transformational change, unlocking socio-economic potential that benefits all communities and local businesses.
