Central Government sets the parking infringement and towage fees across New Zealand.

Overview information

Parking is monitored by Parking Officers and vehicles equipped with licence plate recognition technology. We also respond to public complaints about non-compliant parking.

Enforcement helps:

Ensure fair use and access to parking, so more people benefit
Prevent parking in undesignated areas, improving traffic flow and safety - see where not to park
