A small venue in Hockin House that seats 20 people is available to hire.

Hockin House was built in 1893 and is a late Victorian dwelling that was the residence of the first four superintendents of Waikato Hospital. It takes its name from Doctor Munro Hockin who died in office in 1939, the last superintendent to live in the house.

Today the house is the headquarters of the Waikato Historical Society as well as being a colonial folk museum. It is situated in Graham Park at the end of Selwyn Street near Waikato Hospital.

The Waikato Historical Society was founded in 1954 to record local history, collect articles of local interest and educate public opinion.
