Steele Park is one of the oldest parks in Hamilton. The park is named after Lieutenant Steele who arrived in the city in 1864. The park has two sports fields and two cricket pitches, and is a popular location for summer touch rugby competitions.

Casual event applications are for if you need to book a park for sports training or matches. If you’re planning an event with any of items listed below, you’ll only need to apply for an event permit (the park booking will be made as part of this):
