Notices of requirements
A notice of requirement allows 'requiring authorities', such as network operators like Waka Kotahi and local authorities like councils or ministries, to designate land for public works or network utilities.
By designating the land, it protects it from being used in a way that would prevent the proposed future public work or network utility.
