Project summary

What we’re doing

As part of the ‘low cost low risk’ public transport programme, we will be improving the kerbing and constructing a raised safety platform on Hyde Avenue at the intersection with Ellicott Road, to provide the community, including those using the nearby bus stop, with a safe place to cross the street.

Work got underway in the week starting Monday 15 April 2024 and is expected to take three weeks to complete, weather dependent. Work will usually be completed during the day from Monday to Friday, 9am-3pm.

Why we’re doing it

This project supports our transport strategy vision where everyone can connect to people and places in safe, accessible and smart ways. Find out more about our transport strategy Access Hamilton – Ara Kootuitui Kirikiriroa.
