Project summary
We are working on the river path under the ANZAC Parade Bridge near New Memorial Park.
This work is required to improve quality and safety along 96m of path, and will include replacing a section of paving with asphalt.
Work is scheduled to begin on Monday 10 June 2024 and may take up to four weeks to complete (weather dependent). During this time this section of river path will be closed, and detours will be in place for pedestrians and people on bikes.

FAQs
What does this project involve?
The main part of this work involves removing a section of old paving and replacing it with asphalt. We will also be improving the kerb and channel along the path, and changing some drainage grates to cycle-friendly grates.
How is this work being funded?
This work is part of the Parks Renewal Programme and is funded in the Parks Assets Renewals budget.
How will I know what detour to take?
There will be signs and footpath decals to help guide people through the various detours. You can also view the detour map here.
