Roose Commerce Park is a unique site for events due to its proximity to the Waikato River. Its river accessibility (boat ramps) makes it the perfect site for events with river-based activities. There are no power boxes at this site.
This park was once occupied by a company that transported mined sand from the river. In the 1960s this became an unsafe practice and the park’s buildings were handed over to the Waikato Rowing Club.
The gazebo was built in the 1970s for a flower show at Claudelands and was moved to the riverside location. A large remnant from the original Union Bridge is located beside this structure.
