Making the most of its renovated museum, Hamilton City Council is commemorating Waitangi Day with an awesome city event at Te Whare Taonga o Waikato Museum and Gallery.

Building on the Museum’s long standing Waitangi Day programme, this year will be a large-scale event with food trucks, live music, weaving workshops, and puppet shows for the kids. Enjoy guided riverside history tours to learn about paa sites, gallery tours focused on Te Tiriti, and after-hours activities at the Museum.

The event opens at 10am with a welcome from Mayor Paula. Full schedule to come soon!
