From when I lived in East Street, I recall this as a dangerous intersection. It was never a nice corner to navigate. While a partial closure (left turn only out of East Street) would be an improvement, a full closure would be preferable as it would make easier and safer for cyclists. This is a common route to and from Ruakura and the University for people living on the far side of Claudelands Park (Fairfield etc). It would help this route considerably to make it more cycle friendly.
