Option 3: Right turn out of East Street ban

No right turn still allows easy access into East Street from the southern end of Peachgrove Road. This will make the intersection safer, while lessening the extra burden placed on other nearby streets by options 1 and 2. The removal of the right hand turn vat the end of East Street removes most of the issues caused by the blind corner and makes the intersection safer. Many people already use the intersection between East Street and Peachgrove Road in a similar way to option 3, by favouring a left turn into and out of East Street and avoiding the blind right turn for safety. The change would formalize and normalize the no right turn option.

It’s a local road close to my house, Go to farmer’s market, Claudelands playground, settlement centre, or other Claudelands Arena attraction, Go to farmer’s market, Claudelands playground, settlement centre, or other Claudelands Arena attractions, Travelling to/from work, It is the way I use to get home from the supermarket or other activities in the Ruakura area

I live very close to the Brooklyn Road end of East Street. I can see changes hopefully slowwing down the cars turning left out of East Street, hopefully making exiting my drive safer. The safe crossing will make it easier for pedestrians to cross the road, ans slow traffic for cyclists
