This version formalises what tends to happen when right turn out of east street not possible ie turn left and make a u turn at Bailey avenue. This creates minimal disruption and frustration, but adds safety margins.

The position fits with walking traffic desires to access Claudelands park, providing options to cross Brooklyn on either side of East. But sad to see no marked pedestrian ( zebra) crossing added or light assisted crossing as per peachgrove or the new one at the mosque. This suggested version looks like a minimal cost, minimal disruption option. Modelling of traffic management when big events or busy market days are on would be interesting to see.
