| Which option do you most prefer? |
Option 1: Full closure and cul-de-sac of East Street
|
| Please share any additional comments on your preferred option |
As I cycle through this intersection each day along East street I find it to be a very risky intersection particuarly heading East due to lack of visability.
In addition to this I have found motorists to be distrated by traffic coming around the bend when turning right out of East street and not looking for traffic, incl cycles crossing the intersection. |
| Which of the following best describes you? |
I travel through the area regularly
|
| What do you use the East Street intersection for? |
Travelling to/from work
|
| Do you support the proposal for a new pedestrian crossing point on Brooklyn Road near East Street? |
Yes
|
| Please share reasons for your selection. |
Per my previous comment, a crossing will also both elimiate traffic from East street but will make crossing the busy road safer, I also see a number of school children crossing here too.
It will also make a safer link between the Wairere Dr shared paths and the city. |
| Are you giving feedback on behalf of an organisation? |
No, these are my own personal views
