Which option do you most prefer?
Option 2: Partial closure and left out only of East Street
Please share any additional comments on your preferred option
I plan to move into the new Peachgrove East development on the other side of the road. What is important to me is the pedestrian crossing and improved cycle and walking access planned in all options, except Option 4. I have tried crossing Peachgrove Road at this point and it is difficult and dangerous.
I would be happy with Options 1-3. However, as I don't live on the side of East Street which will be affected, I don't want to make a recommendation on closing or partially closing the road. I think this is a decision that should be led by those who will be directly affected - East St residents and drivers who currently use that road.
I will also point out that better cycle and pedestrian access will allow citizens to use the freeway underpass as a safe passage to Ruakura and the university campus
