Roads are for moving people and goods, and should not be used to store private property, especially on main arterial routes like Peachgrove Rd, and around schools. Both the adjacent schools are huge, with significant grounds that could be used for internal car parks. Convert a rugby field to a car park, and keep Peachgrove flowing, not clogged up with private cars. Students should also be biking or busing to school. We did it back in the day, now we are growing lazy and unhealthy kids.

Yes, raised crossing are much safer, but I dispute the $600,000 cost. They do NOT cost that much, and council needs to tell contractors to cost their quotes properly, and to stop the extortion, just because it is the council. Given that Option 2 raised crossing is only $300,000, it is clear something is not being scrutinised properly.

Why do these raised crossings cost half the cost of Option 1 costs, for the same thing?
