I chose option 1 as this will drastically reduce the issues we have in all along streets around boys high.
This option will also improve safety and improve the very lacking infrastructure in the area. Im also needing to point out my annoyance thst bains avenue has been missed . We have numerous issues with people using it as a 'high speed shortcut' both members of the public and students in cars . We also have enormous issues with bains avenue being used as a puck up drop off point for students . This needs to be considered .. |

The emphasis on parking needs to be discouraged. Cars are NOT the future . Public transportation, walking, cycling is .

We need radical changes .. this is the option that will.work the best in the long term.
The cycle lanes also need to be extended down te aroha street as its very busy snd very dangerous. I see hoards of students riding bikes, scooters coming out of Argyle mostly riding in the footpath. This doesn't work. The bike lanes on te aroha street and the 'speed limit' are none existent.. its also very dangerous to cross the road if yiu are a cyclist . Te aroha street needs to be a 30 km p/h zone during school.hours |
