Where is the option for putting it back on Hamilton's largest school to sort their issue? Why can't they take some field space to build a big off-street drop off/pick up zone like other smaller schools have?
There's nothing wrong with the road - the issue is the number of students. So make the school provide better facilities. |

It's not only the reduction in parking spots - it's the millions of cost! I think there is a plethora of better places to spend $4.8 million dollars in this city. But yes, removing these parking spaces seems like an invitation for more trouble and frustration. Plus think about the residents on the side streets, what a nightmare for them! And students in the rain having the run much further, it just doesn't seem logical.
It seems far more appropriate for the school to invest in a large carpark with a really well laid out drop of zone, that THEY pay for. They could even enforce it themselves with a teacher after school finishes. That seems better for the students too. |

Absolutely not. Why do we want to continue making our city SLOWER? It just doesn't make sense. Smarter drivers and better facilities will improve things more than this.
