Please share any comments you have about why you chose to support/oppose the different options.
[Refer Document attached]
I am in support of the idea of separating motorists and designing better paths for cyclists/scooters and pedestrians (as shown in Options 1 & 2).
However, combining cyclists/scooters and pedestrians (along a shared path) is dangerous for all parties. Although I support the general intent of Options 1 & 2, I am strongly opposed to them useless a dedicated cycleway is provided, with marked separation from the Pedestrian Path. Options 1 & 2 can easy be adapted to provide this along Peachgrove Road beside the Hamilton Boys High School boundary fence.
How important or unimportant was retaining parking spaces on Peachgrove Road when deciding your support/opposition to each of the options?
Somewhat important
Please share any comments you have about potential reductions to the number of parking spots on Peachgrove Road.
Am in support of removing parking on Peachgrove Rd if this helps make it safer for motorist, buses, cyclists, scooters and pedestrians.
However, at School Drop off and Pick-up the side roads already face significant problems. If parking is reduced this will only get worse. No matter which option is adopted, a Strategy is needed for the Side Roads. (Refer to Figure 5 in the attached document).
For Option 1: Do you support adding raised pedestrian and cycling crossings on nearby streets at an additional $600,000, bringing the total project cost to $5.4m?
No
Please provide any additional comments you may have about raised pedestrian and cycle crossings for Option 1.
I am in favour of a raised crossing at HBHS entry (as well as a dedicated cycleway on this side), but not on the Peachgrove Intermediate Side of Peachgrove.
For Option 2: Do you support adding raised pedestrian and cycling crossings on nearby streets at an additional $300,000, bringing the total project cost to $4.3m?
No
For Option 3: Do you support adding a raised pedestrian and cycling crossing on Wilson St at an additional $150,000, bringing the total project cost to $1.2m?
No
Are you giving feedback on behalf of an organisation?
