Which option for on-street short-stay parking in the central city do you support?
Option 1: Two hours free (Council’s preferred option)
Help us understand the reason for your response:
One hour is not enough. Time can be used by trying to locate the parking meter and then entering your details. For the older generation this can be a very slow process. Two hours provides flexibility to not only shop but also to have a bite to eat and to enjoy the central business district. I believe 2 hours will draw more people into the CBD.
Do you support Council’s proposal to increase the entry fee for non-Hamiltonians aged 16 and over to enter the enclosed areas at Hamilton Gardens to $27.50 from October 2026?
In part, but I have suggestions
Help us understand the reason for your response:
$30 pp for overseas visitors & $60 for a family (2 Adults & 2 children)
$25 pp for NZ residents & $50 for a family of 2 Adults & 2 children
A concession card (like a coffee card) pay for 9 and get one free for NZ residents only with proof.
To help us make an informed decision, the annual cost to the ratepayers to maintain the Gardens should have been included.
Help us understand the reason for your response:
I have no idea what this is about It would have been helpful to include a summary of what this relates too so an inforned decision can be made. Plus include the old charge and the increases.
