| Which option for on-street short-stay parking in the central city do you support? |
Option 1: Two hours free (Council’s preferred option)
|
| Help us understand the reason for your response: |
I deliberately avoid town because of how much of a nightmare parking is. Let alone having to pay for it. If I’m having to pay for it I’ll just drive out to the base where there is free parking. Two hours of free parking makes it more enticing to actually go into town.

| Do you support Council’s proposal to increase the entry fee for non-Hamiltonians aged 16 and over to enter the enclosed areas at Hamilton Gardens to $27.50 from October 2026? |
In part, but I have suggestions
|
| Help us understand the reason for your response: |
I don’t believe that NZ permanent residents and citizens should be having to pay over $20 to get into the gardens. I do, however think that the gardens should be charging international visitors more, especially the tour buses that come in to visit. Surely there is a way to put a higher cost on tour bus groups? Otherwise a blanket $27.50 for all non-Hamiltonians is pretty steep.
