| Which option for on-street short-stay parking in the central city do you support? |
Option 1: Two hours free (Council’s preferred option)
|
| Help us understand the reason for your response: |
Encourage people to go into the cbd at weekends. Cbd needs more people coming in to reinvigorate and get cafes and shops to open all weekend because their are customers. Current situation is self fulfilling, people dont come because they cant park and cafes are closed. Cafes are closed because theres no one there

| Do you support Council’s proposal to increase the entry fee for non-Hamiltonians aged 16 and over to enter the enclosed areas at Hamilton Gardens to $27.50 from October 2026? |
In part, but I have suggestions
|
| Help us understand the reason for your response: |
I think this fee is quite high. I agree there should be a charge for non residents but not so high that it will discourage visitors from out of town. We want the gardens to be an attraction that brings in visitors to the city so they spend money there and elsewhere. Too expensive and they will just drive on past
