| Which option for on-street short-stay parking in the central city do you support? |
Option 1: Two hours free (Council’s preferred option)
|
| Help us understand the reason for your response: |
I have decreased the time I spend in the central city since the 2 hours free was reduced to one hour. If I'm planning to just wander the shops/browse, I will go to chartwell or the base as I can take my time and not rush back to my car. Likewise, I have changed my hairdresser from one in centreplace to one at rototuna as it's free parking out there.

| Do you support Council’s proposal to increase the entry fee for non-Hamiltonians aged 16 and over to enter the enclosed areas at Hamilton Gardens to $27.50 from October 2026? |
Yes (Council's preferred option)
|
| Help us understand the reason for your response: |
For people living in Hamilton, the gardens are just a part of life... But for people out of town, it is a real novelty and they seem happy to pay to visit. The compromise of 16 and under being free makes it still a viable option for family's to visit.
