Which option for on-street short-stay parking in the central city do you support?
Option 1: Two hours free (Council’s preferred option)
Help us understand the reason for your response:
Having the 2 hours free parking will help people be more willing to come into town, though with this petrol expenses I have seen and heard from multiple retailers around the place that they have less people coming through. Myself included. My daughter & I used to park in town go shopping for an hour, meet friends & have coffee. Now we come into town ONLY when we need to & ONLY for an hour then gone again. We don't even stop for coffees very often
Do you support Council’s proposal to increase the entry fee for non-Hamiltonians aged 16 and over to enter the enclosed areas at Hamilton Gardens to $27.50 from October 2026?
In part, but I have suggestions
Help us understand the reason for your response:
I feel those people in Cambridge, Ohaupo, Te Awamutu, pirongia, morrinsville etc (small out lying towns) should be included in the free entry for the gardens - it would encourage them to come to Hamilton more often & when people are travelling that far they spend $$ in town
Do you support the proposed Planning Guidance/Urban and Spatial Planning fees and charges?
No
Help us understand the reason for your response:
I don't understand it but do think that developers not rate payers should be footing the bill for the infrastructure & they should have to build a new school per so many houses for the development areas.
Eg green hills Estate only has insoll primary near it
Are you giving feedback on behalf of an organisation?
