Following Iawai, merging with Waikato District could be simlier since waters infrastructure and service is the largest portion of Councils budget.
Adding Waipa District provides transport opportunities as well. |

One region wide Council would extremely difficult to manage as the geographical area is extensive and the needs wide ranging.
