Unified and powerful Waikato region - based on current regional and catchment boundaries - Waikato an extremely important region and economic and environmental power house. Potential efficiencies and economics of scale and size to influence and lobby government

Go with regional extent as it currently stands to manage catchment and flood and transport issues - but create some local boards or similar and provide them some power and influence to help the urban - rural and provincial voices that people are concerned will disappear with a Hamilton located / based council.
