Waikato, Hamilton, Matamata - Piako and Waipa are a distinct geographic block that would be logical under the future proof initiative any larger and it could become unmanageable and not achieve the outcomes sort.

A larger more inefficient bureaucracy that is not seen to be accountable or held accountable for wasteful expenditure and that economy's of scale and efficiencies are not delivered.
