The Economic Development Committee provides oversight for the city’s economic agenda and for investment opportunities consistent with Council’s vision.

Chair's Report - That the Economic Development Committee receives the report.
General Manager's Report - To inform the Economic Development Committee on reshaping our economic development agenda for the new triennium.
External Agencies and CCO Reporting - To inform the Economic Development Committee on matters relating to external agencies and Council-controlled organisations (CCOs), including 6-monthly reports. To seek the Economic Development Committee’s approval of the Hamilton Central Business Association (HCBA) Annual Central City Activation Plan and Annual Budget for 2023-24, and endorsement of the draft Statements of Intent for Waikato Regional Airport Limited, Waikato Innovation Growth Ltd, NZ Food Innovation (Waikato) Ltd and Co-Lab.
Strategic and General Update - To inform the Economic Development Committee of both strategic matters and general updates that staff want to bring to Members’ attention, but that do not warrant a separate report or require decisions to be made.
Strategic Property update - To inform the Economic Development Committee on strategic property matters and the financial performance and position of the Municipal Endowment Fund as at 31 December 2022 (Q1 & Q2 2022/23 FY).
