How can I get involved in this meeting?

At the beginning of each Council or committee meeting, up to 30 minutes is available for the public (individuals or groups) to present on a matter that is on the meeting’s agenda. Each individual or group is allowed up to five minutes to speak. 

Speakers are listed on a first come, first served basis, and as many speakers as possible will be heard within the allocated 30 minutes.

Note: Your name, a summary of what you say and anything you distribute at the meeting will be included in the minutes and made available online, as well as livestreamed and included on our YouTube channel.

Hamilton City Council manages billions of dollars’ worth of assets on behalf of its communities and provides services to 170,000 residents. 

The Strategic Risk and Assurance Committee provides effective and transparent governance of Council’s management of these assets, its financial and non-financial risks, and engagement with internal and external audit processes.
