Public meetings in Chambers are live-streamed and the recordings uploaded for public view.

Recording in public areas: Under Standing Order 12.4, members of the public (including the media) may take photographs or record video content from public areas in meetings which are open to the public. Anyone intending to make a recording is required to email hcc.governance@hcc.govt.nz before the meeting so those in the room can be informed.

Recording in non-public areas: If media wish to film from non-public areas or move around the room to film during the meeting, we request they contact us at least 24 hours before the meeting. We try to accommodate these requests but must manage them against planned meeting protocols, security or safety and access considerations. Please email hcc.governance@hcc.govt.nz for further information.
